I must admit, this one, I had to read through a couple of times before it really sunk in what was being said. But once I thought about it for a few minutes it rang true for me. Busyness is the appearance of being engaged in activity and not (usually) truly and fully engaged. Busyness is a distraction and is not nurturing.
Resting is essential and something that most of the time we feel is a luxury, but it’s not, it is a necessity. When we rest we find our creativity recharged, our energy levels start to come back, we are less irritable and when it is time for activity we are more focused and effective. Without it, life goes into survival mode.
